Static Electricity

Static Electricity is a type of force.  When you rub a balloon on your head and lift up, your hair sticks onto the balloon.  When you get a little shock, that is static electricity too.  It happens because one charge is positive and the other is negative.

Marble Run

The marble run was a big success!

The challenge was to try and build a marble run and make it go all the way down.

The first thing we had to do was draw a plan.  

Next we got the materials.  We had nails, cardboard and wood.

Then we screwed on the cardboard and then we put the marble down.

It did not work right away because we had to move one of the cardboard pieces so that the marble wouldn't fall.

If I were to do this again the thing that I would do differently is I would make it bigger.  I think we did a good job.

Sun/Moon/Earth

Canoe Making Steps

To make a canoe they started by finding a tree.  Then they burnt the bottom to get it down.  They put the fire out and then they shaped the log.  And then they hollowed out the inside.  Then they painted it.  Finally they had a feast.  They used to use spirits to help them build the canoe.

Rattlesnake Point

This is me and my brother.  We got to go to Rattlesnake point. 

I like to hike because I get to go places that I've never gone before and climb places.  When we came home we watched Nut Job 2.

 It's really nice and I got to see a ground hog.

I found a stick that looked exactly like Captain Hook's hand and I found a stick that looked exactly like a gun and I found another one that I could dig in the ice with.

This is really fun because I also got to see the groundhog's house.

Cup

I made a water cycle plate.  You can see that the E is evaporation, the C is condensation and the P is precipitation.  

This is the poem I made.  It is about pizza because it is one of the best foods in the world.  I love pizza!
