Adventures with Erosion

"I did an ice experiment with balloons. You fill them up with water and you put it in the freezer.  Then you wait overnight and in the morning it will be frozen.  I poured water over my ice ball with a baster and it made a hole.  I also put salt on it.  It relates to rocks eroding because rocks break into smaller particles when water hits it over and over."

Microscopes

At the Science Centre, I got to see in a microscope and look at pond water.  I saw a bug with it's eggs.  I learned about the parts of the microscope.  I loved it.

Stem Challenge

My challenge was to drop an egg in something safe and it wouldn't break.  It worked!  I used a yogourt container, paper towel, paper towel around the egg, more paper towel and tape and a bag.

Kamloops Wildlife Park

I had a great day.
The Bird show was very cool.  There was a red tailed hawk and a vulture and a barred owl.

My favourite part was the red tail hawk because it was interesting.  I learned that they eat mice and chicks.

It looks like I have wings but I don't.  This is how long eagle's wings are.
